Chanting and waving flags, Muqtada al-Sadr's followers filled Firdous Square to protest the pact that would allow American troops to stay for three more years.

The demonstration followed two days of protests in parliament by al-Sadr loyalists who disrupted readings of the proposed agreement ahead of a debate and vote.

Despite the opposition at least three small parliamentary factions, the pact is expected to pass in the Shiite-led parliament when it comes up for a vote next week.

PepsiCo Working To Topple China

NEW YORK (AP) -- Beverage and snack maker PepsiCo Inc. said Monday it will invest $1 billion in China over the next four years to expand its manufacturing capability, research and development and sales force in the country.

The investment will fund programs to expand manufacturing capacity, mainly in interior and Western China.

It will expand local research and development facilities, build the sales force and fund brand-building and new product initiatives.

"This is our largest investment in China in the nearly 30 years we have been doing business here, and it is consistent with our broader global strategy of investing in high-growth developing markets," said PepsiCo Chairman and Chief Executive Indra Nooyi.

Everyone knows that China will become the world's largest superpower. It is the future. Whoever influences China influences the world. But China is not sooo stupid. Will it let US or European governmental people into its executive level at all? Will it grant atleast some power to the western world? No. But the western world does not give up easily.

The only problem is that while out of 6 billion people on the earth, three billion are living in poverty and couldn't care less about this. With 1 billion Chinese, that only leaves a billion people to topple China. And most of them are fat and lazy while all Chinese are united and strong.(hail mother China)

Doomsday Device Being Built By IMF, Don't Donate

RIYADH (AFP) – Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) needs "hundreds of billions of dollars" to help countries at risk of collapsing amid the world financial crisis.

Brown, who is in Saudi Arabia, told reporters Saturday during a four-day tour of Gulf states that countries which had benefited from recent high oil prices could contribute to the plan.

Brown also stressed that Britain welcomed investment from Gulf sovereign wealth funds "as long as they play by our rules and operate in a commercial manner."

Brown, whose struggling premiership has been boosted by his leadership in the financial panic, wants the IMF's 250 billion dollar bailout fund for affected countries to be extended to prevent "contagion" elsewhere.

He has not previously indicated the amount of cash by which he believes the IMF, which is set to bail out Hungary, Ukraine and Iceland, needs to boost its coffers.

McCain On Deathbed; Youth Not Too Happy About It

Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama is more popular than his Republican rival John McCain among the younger generations of Americans, a new poll has found.

The poll, conducted by CBS News, The Chronicle of Higher Education and UWire ahead of November 4 elections, said in a generally believed conservative campus of Miami University at Oxford, Ohio, 59 per cent of the students planning to vote, are supporting Obama against 37 per cent to McCain.

Further it is being pointed out that of the 25,000 students polled at four-year colleges and universities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Colorado, more than 60 per cent preferred Obama to McCain.
